Surventis Invests in Aerospace Production at Langelsheim Site

Investment strengthens Surventis’ aerospace business.

/’With a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, Surventis has marked the expansion of its production capacity for aircraft sealants at its Langelsheim site in Germany. The investment adds manufacturing and laboratory capacity and strengthens the company’s position in the global aerospace business.

“This investment puts us in a position to keep pace with growing customer demand while strengthening our innovation and production capabilities,” said Frank Naber, Executive Vice President Surface Treatment at Surventis. “Our aim is to invest selectively, worldwide, in strong technologies and lasting competitive advantages.”
Langelsheim is Surventis’ global center of competence for Chemetall aircraft sealants and one of the company’s key production site for aerospace and surface treatment solutions. Sealants for the aircraft industry have been produced in Langelsheim since the 1990s. Driven by continued business growth, the site has been expanded several times, most recently in 2019 with additional production, laboratory and office space. Today, more than 200 employees from ten nations and eight apprentices work for Surventis in Langelsheim.

“Langelsheim combines decades of experience, technological expertise and high-performance production structures. The new buildings are being constructed right next to the existing aerospace production, on a plot that is already developed and connected to the site’s infrastructure. That combination makes Langelsheim an important building block in our global growth strategy,” said Dr. Florian Mueller, Site Manager at Surventis Langelsheim.
